MONDAY 24TH NOV 2014 WAUMINI 88.3 FM SOUL FOOD THEME OF THE DAY: Inner Healing BIBLE VERSE: Romans 8:26-27 “…In the same way, the Spirit too comes to the aid of our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but the Spirit itself intercedes with inexpressible groanings…” Healing is that process of spiritual, relational, intellectual, emotional and physical reconstruction under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. This process leads us to unite ourselves to the Son in obedience to the Father’s Will and open ourselves to become who the Father has called us to be. Inner healing refers strive to free oneself from the negative emotional effects of harmful experiences. God does want to free us from sins that arise from specific hurtful occasions in our past. There comes a time we need to heal our spiritual, psychological, and physical wounds that torment us. The basis of all authentic healing rests in God’s merciful, unconditional (agape) love. Wherever God’s love exists, healing power is present. God loves all He has created. The blood of Jesus is His life. It is the very essence of His being, filled with His power and His love. Jesus is our healer I need your support, strength me and release me from inner pains and torments, cast away the spirit of unforgiveness, hatred, jealousy, and many bad attributes that drive me away from the love of God and neighbor. Amen. “…This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah: “He took up our infirmities and bore our diseases.” (Matthew 8:17)
