MONDAY,AUGUST 25, 2014 TRUE WISDOM REVEALED I 1Corinthians 1:1-31 One atheist said to his friends How can I believe in an ancient book written by an archaeologist let alone to believe those who preach from it? He was referring to the Holy Bible. This atheist is blind and ignorant because the true wisdom of God has not been revealed to him that the Bible was written by Holy men of God through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit (Ref. 2Peter. 1:20-21, 2Tim. 3:16-17). There are three classes of men known where the Gospel is preached: the unbelievers and gainsayers, To those who will continue in the first state, the preaching of Salvation through the merit of a crucified Savior is folly. To those who believe the doctrine of Christ and Him crucified is the power of God to their salvation. The Gospel is divinely efficacious to deliver them from all the power,guilty, and pollution of sin. Key verses 1Corinthians 1:19 - For it is written:I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate. Life Application Learned people sometimes seek to explain spiritual things by sscientific reasoning. If we think we made it because we applied all the known principles and laws, then the Grace of God will be easily overlooked and we will forget that man can don nothing except given to him from above. The wisdom of those living by human intellect instead of God s revelation would perish. Critical verse. 1Corinthians1:20 -where is the wise man? Where is the scholar?where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world Prayer O God!! Let me not wander away from your Word as I seek you with all my heart in Jesus name. Amen.
