MONDAY with Pastor Cliff - Right Words: Words can help and harm. It all depends on the way that you use them. . January 1990, Avianca Flight 52 from Colombia crashed just 15 miles short of New York’s Kennedy International Airport. Seventy-three passengers were killed. The reason, the plane just ran out of fuel. Under international regulations, an airliner must carry enough fuel to reach its destination as well as its assigned alternate destination, plus enough extra to handle at least 45 minutes of delays. Due to low fuel condition, the Avianca pilots had requested “priority” not “emergency” landing. Because the exact word “emergency” was not used, and due to heavy traffic and bad weather condition, the jet was placed on a holding pattern, until it simply ran out of fuel. Christians, we have the right words for our world today. The Son of God came into the world to bear witness to the Truth in a way that it had never been witnessed to before. The aim of giving Himself as the Truth to the world is freedom - Freedom from the guilt and power of sin - Freedom from death, blindness and judgment. We cannot turn away, because Jesus is the way to real freedom and we have the right words of life. Share the Words of Life with someone today!
