MONGRELS IN SUITS (5) SENATOR IAN MACDONALD LETS IT ALL HANG OUT! Dear Senator MacDonald, Bugger! You know, we were planning to let you off the hook. you were the fourth member of the NLP team at the senate Inquiry, and frankly, we thought you were a pretty good bloke. Now, we know youre not cool enough for Tony and all the elegant, sophisticated and educated Southern Liberal Push to make you into a Minister but hey, you came across as decent, polite and fair dinkum to us. Besides, you seemed to actually listen to the evidence we gave, and it was appreciated. At one stage you told my wife that, if she had a problem, then she needed to wait for an election, because elections tended to sort things out. We could live with that. we understand the rough and tumble of politics, just like you do. Then you told Simone Marsh that she had stolen a document that happened to be in her possession: it just happened to be evidence of one of the biggest crimes that has even been committed against the Queensland people. But hey, we understand you were only doing your job - trying to save the culturally corrupted Newman Government. It wasnt easy for you sitting at the same bench with the new boys- The Senator from Santos, the Political Pet and the Gang Leader Senator OSullivan. In fact, we are pretty sure we saw you cringe away more than once, and we dont blame you. Anyway we were going to let you run free, Senator MacDonald, because you seemed almost lily-white compared to the rest of them. And then someone showed us this photograph of you standing up in Parliament looking like Jacky Jacky - sponsored by some mining mob. Have you no shame at all? Maybe next week you could turn up in feathers and glitter and show your support for a gay Mardi Gras in the main street of Ayr. Thats your home town, isnt it? Go the Burdekin Boys! Regards David and Heather
