MONTHLY WORD - DOUG ADDISON "August is a time of new beginnings" We have gone through a major transition over the past few months. On July 1st something changed radically in the spiritual realm. God is opening new opportunities at levels we have never seen before. Don’t be surprised though, if you see resistance or you feel discouraged in the process. It is time to break through! Angels of breakthrough I was in Woodland Park, Colorado at Prayer Mountain in July of this year and I had several dramatic angelic encounters. On July 20th an angel of breakthrough came into the meeting. The presence of God was quite thick and there were times that many of us could not get off the floor. I have never encountered an angel like this. God spoke to me that there are angels of breakthrough now being dispersed around the globe. That very weekend, I needed a breakthrough myself as my wife and I have been trying to find a place to live in Los Angeles. We sold our house and had to move by the end of the month but after four tiring trips to L.A., we could not find anything. My Daily Prophetic word for July 21st read: “Be ready to make changes or adjustments to your plans. Flexibility will yield a great reward.” So I took a step of faith and changed my plane ticket to fly from Colorado into LAX and met my wife. On the next day we found a place to live in Santa Monica. God is opening new opportunities for us in Los Angeles involving a new reality TV show. Watch for your breakthrough. Major attacks of the enemy I don’t usually talk much about the attacks of the enemy because I like to focus more on what God is doing. But it has been a pretty intense time for many people! There has been a great deal of attacks against people’s minds. Several HUGE demonic attacks against people right now are panic attacks, anxiety, hopelessness, and suicidal thoughts. As God releases new things to us there is often resistance from the enemy–similar to Daniel chapter 10–where Michael the archangel was detained twenty-one days before he could get to Daniel. Jesus and the Door to the Past I often live out the prophetic words that God gives me. When it is happening to me, it is similar to a life parable. As a result, these have been the most difficult months I have had in a very long time. The experience I am about to share with you is not just for me but also applies to many others. On Friday, August 2nd at 5 pm, I had a spiritual experience as the Lord came into my house. He told me that five years and five months ago Satan asked to execute my ministry. And the time has come for total repayment of your five years of unjust attacks and losses. I looked at my journal. Sure enough, it was five years and five months ago in 2008 when I received a very accurate prophetic word. A prophet from South Africa called me out from the crowd by name, and told me that Satan has taken me into the Courtroom of Heaven and asked permission to execute my ministry. For the past five years we have suffered a lot of losses and rejection. But in this spiritual experience, Jesus reached out and touched my heart and something lifted off me. I felt pain leave. Door to the Past In the encounter, I saw a huge door and written on it was “The Past.” I watched as the Lord placed a seal over the Door to the Past and stood in front of it. He said to me, “The Door to the past is being shut and will never be reopened.” This is for all of us! God is repaying us for losses and things that were taken since 2008 … and He is closing the door to the past. God is making all things new! That experience happened the day our house sale was finalized. Our realtor contacted us the next day and said that our house broke the record for the highest sale for a house our size since 2008! God confirmed this word about repayment right away. Philippians 3:13–14 (NLT) No, dear brothers and sisters, I am still not all I should be, but I am focusing all my energies on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I strain to reach the end of the race and receive the prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us up to heaven.
