MONTROSE SOCCER CLUB GETS SERIOUS! After many years as a purely "social" soccer club we are pleased to announce that as of the 2014 season we will be entering two teams into the Football Federation of Victoria State League. Our Senior Mens and Reserves teams will compete on Saturdays, with home games to be played on our newly developed pitch at Keith Hume Fraser Reserve, Montrose. We also have great pleasure in announcing the appointment of Darren Snijders as our Senior Men’s coach. Darren brings a wealth of experience in Amateur and Professional football to the role, including a stint with Melbourne Heart as a game development coach. He currently holds an AFC C Licence. By introducing these teams we have created a pathway to excellence for our ever-growing Junior club, existing senior players and other players in the area who have the ability and desire to play at a higher level. As the improvements to our ground and facilities continue, we expect to grow our presence in the FFV, while still maintaining strong links with the Bayside League on Sundays. Please join me in supporting the club, coaches and players as we embark on this new and exciting adventure.
