MORE PHOTOGRAPHS FROM THE RECENT DOG MEAT TRADE ARRESTS… 72 DOGS RESCUED FROM TORTURE AND SLAUGHTER… Just a few days ago, police in Kampangpet province in northern Thailand conducted a raid of a truck at 10pm at night, which revealed 72 dogs concealed inside and destined for slaughter. The truck had been specially adapted for transporting dogs while keeping them out of sight. The driver and another occupant of the truck were both arrested and the truck confiscated. The rescued dogs were all transported to the Soi Dog funded shelter at Nakhon Phanom. The battle to end the illegal dog meat trade goes on and great strides are being made.
