MORE PHOTOGRAPHS FROM THE RECENT DOG MEAT TRADE ARRESTS... 76 DOGS RESCUED FROM TORTURE AND SLAUGHTER… We recently posted about further arrests in the illegal dog meat trade. Thanks to our undercover investigators Watchdog Thailand, the Royal Thai Police and the Royal Thai Army, working in conjunction with Soi Dog Foundation, a raid on two dog smuggling trucks resulted in the saving of another 76 dogs. The trucks were stopped at a checkpoint in the Denchai district of Prae province in northern Thailand. The dogs were en-route to Chiangrai, northern Thailand, destined for smuggling into China. Both drivers were arrested and the trucks seized. Following health checks, the dogs will be transported to the shelter at Nakhonpanom.
