MORNING DEVOTION 4/3/14 GREATNESS BY SERVICE PART2 TODAYS SCRIPTURE. Its not going to be that way with you.Let the senior among you become like the junior;let the leader act the part of the servant. (Luke 22:26 MSG) Being a leader in the kingdom entails serving God actively! We are called as soldiers in active service to God and humanity.You were created to function in committed service to God and your fellow men.You must take whatever you do in life and Gods house seriously.You must always be willing to give your best and go the extra mile. You must never become weary or complacent. Do everything as unto the Lord for He rewards service. Romans 11:12 says it all.You must not be slothful(lazy) in business.Being slothful is ungodly.Do not be involved in any kind of corrupt activities, it is a sign of laziness. Give yourself to service and you will be great. Be fervent in the spirit! Being fervent means you are not slow but quick in carrying out your assignment.Men will not only praise a good worker but will be happy with a fast worker. God is also happy when you execute your tasks speedily and efficiently. Finally,serve the Lord! In your local church,be involved in service.If your secular job keeps you handicap in the house of God,you are not fulfilling the word of the Lord.Your blessing of greatness from God is tied to your serving Him! If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.(Job36:11). Your greatness,prosperity and blessing is tied to obedience in service. Todays Prayer. Father in the name of Jesus. From today I will serve you and humanity with the best of my ability to guarantee my greatness on every side. Amen
