MOTHERS TAKE OVER CHUCH OF ASSUMPTION ASOKORO AS CHURCH CELEBRATES - TopicsExpress

MOTHERS TAKE OVER CHUCH OF ASSUMPTION ASOKORO AS CHURCH CELEBRATES MOTHERS DAY. It could best be described as a complete take over of the church as Mothers of The Church of the Assumption Asokoro, Abuja came out en masse to celebrate Mothering Sunday. The Mothers who were beautifully adorned in the blue and white colors of our Mother Mary, took over from the altar boys as they were the Altar Servers or should I say Altar Mamas just as they sacked the choir and rendered sonorous hymns and choruses in the worship of God our creator to the delight of the whole church. The Mothers did not stop there they also served as the Ministers of Hospitality A.K.A Church Wardens. (In fact e remain small dem for even sack Father comot from altar deliver sermon sef, lol). The climax of the whole celebration was when shortly before the gospel was read, they sounded a gong and woman positioned at strategic parts of the church shouted the good news of The Lord in about four different languages. I thought to myself, will the Fathers ever do a thing like this? Mmmmm... I leave the answer to them. This is just one of the several ways our Mothers (not women o!, lol! although every woman is sha a potential mother, I know cos Im involved) show that they remain the engine that runs the society. In fact I dare to say that a society without mothers is like a car without an engine! You needed to be in church today to see how this very small gesture of theirs put smiles on the faces of virtually everyone in the church. So as we celebrate the gift of Mothers and Motherhood in general, even if for nothing else, for the simple fact that she did not abort you for fear that shell lose her shape( this, you will agree is one among several flimsy excuses some married women refuse to get pregnant and instead use surrogates or decide not to have children at all), its enough to call her up today, if you live apart and say mama, mummy, momsie, mother, nne, mma, iya or whatever name you call her by and say to her thank you, I love you and I appreciate you if you havent done so already and especially if you are not in the habit of doing so. (Especially Abuja people that can too form busy, lol!) If you are thinking of what special gift to get her and cant come up with any, just try sending her recharge card, Im almost sure that shell appreciate it. Well if you read all of this, thank you so much for sparing the time. If you are a Mother already, I pray that God will guard and keep you to see your childrens children and your children will bring you joy, happiness, success and peace of mind. If you are a Mother in waiting lol, like me, He will soon answer us! Happy Mothers Day to all ya Mothers and do have a fruitful week ahead yall.
