MOVIE: 2 GUNS: Bobby (Denzel Washington) is an undercover DEA agent who has been working toward bringing down Mexican Cartel head Papi Greco (Edward James Olmos). Bobby is teamed with wisecracking undercover naval petty officer Stig (Mark Wahlberg). The catch is Bobby & Stig think that their “partner” is a real criminal & unaware of their real status. Bobby’s primary DEA connection is his old girlfriend Deb (Paula Patton) & Stig communicates with naval officer Quince (James Mardsen). But after Bobby & Stig conduct a bank robbery supposedly holding cartel money they find themselves lethally pursued not only by the cartel, but Stig’s Naval contacts & mysterious ruthless killer Earl (Bill Paxton). As the story unfolds neither Bobby or Stig are sure whom they can trust until they are finally forced to depend on each other. As they search for the truth there are the prerequisite car chases & gun battles. But the real entertainment is in the last half of the movie when Washington & Wahlberg banter increases as they dodge bullets. This movie is R rated primarily based on violence. It’s not a terrible movie, I was just hoping for more. 2 STARS
