MOVIE NIGHT: A SILENT FOREST (46 Minutes, 2009) This award winning documentary film explores the growing global threat of genetically engineered trees to our environment and to human health. The film features renowned geneticist and host of PBS The Nature of Things David Suzuki, who explores the unknown and possibly disastrous consequences of improperly tested GE methods. Many scientists and activists are interviewed in the film, which serves as an effective and succinct tool for understanding the complex issue of GE trees. The film includes the testimony of many experts on the subject and serves as a valuable tool to inform students and those interested in environmental issues. The film has been well used in public forums, government as well as college and high school classrooms. The filmmakers that brought us A Silent Forest are embarking on a new documentary film about the danger of genetically engineered trees. The new film, SYNTHETIC FORESTS, needs public funding. This film project is a non-profit endeavor and your donations are tax-deductible. Three Americas Inc. will be matching donations up to $2000. And like A Silent Forest this new film will be available for free viewing when its done. GMO TREES MUST BE STOPPED before they destroy our forests and our health. A tragic story will unfold in the United States if the public does not learn about, organize and STOP the planned unrestricted release of 500 million GE Eucalyptus trees. Please support the project and help get the word out! Thank you!
