MP Irene Ng: was not an easy job to set up our third eldercare centre in Tampines Changkat. It is the largest centre as I took a special effort to identify two HDB void-decks for it at a time when such plans in other parts of Singapore were met with public resistance. Together with my grassroots leaders, we persuaded our residents to support this. Now officially open, the one-stop facility provides health and social care services, which include day care, dementia day care, rehabilitation and nursing services. Welcomed Dr Amy Khor this morning to officially open it.
