*** MPD Release Names Of Suspects - Booking Photos In Puppy Theft Manchester Police were alerted of a broken window at Bill’s Pet and Aquarium, 893 Hanover Street at 6:50 a.m. by a person driving by the store. The witness stated a window had been shattered, so police responded and contacted the owner. Bill Sturgeon, the owner of the store responded and advised 13 puppies were taken from his store. Officer J.P. Makara of the patrol division observed the individuals walking in the area of the plaza approximately one hour after he responded to the burglary call for service. One of the male subjects had been carrying a Chocolate Labrador Retriever and the female had been carrying Shar Pei dog with her as they were walking in the general area. Officer Makara attempted to stop the four individuals and engaged in a foot pursuit. Sgt. McCabe and other officers responded to the area and the three men were apprehended near the football field on Lake Avenue at Mammoth Road. The female was located at her grandmother’s Lake Avenue apartment by Officer Makara. The following individuals were apprehended; Victor Morina, 17-years of age, Manchester, NH, Samara Massey, 18-years of age, Manchester, NH, Curtis Massey, 17-years of age and Ian Forsberg, 17-years of age, Manchester, NH. Morina was charged with Receiving Stolen Property, Resisting Arrest/Detention and Violation of Bail Conditions stemming from an August, 2014 arrest. Curtis Massey was charged with Receiving Stolen Property and Violation of Bail stemming from a December 7th arrest. He is also being held for a Contempt of Court charge out of Marlborough, NH. Samara Massey is charged with Receiving Stolen Property and Ian Forsberg is charged with Receiving Stolen Property and Resisting Arrest/Detention. John Dussault, an Animal Control Officer with the Manchester Police Department responded to the Lake Avenue address to scan the microchip of the 13 puppies. The scan turned out to match the paperwork provided by the store owner. The 13 dogs were returned to the owner and none of them sustained any injuries. Based on the total value of the dogs taken, all four face Class A Felony charges for Receiving Stolen Property. The following dogs were located; Shar Pei (Value $550), Papillion ($540), Cocker Spaniel ($500), 2-Pyranx puppies ($165/$140), 2-Chocolate Labrador Retrievers ($440/$440)), Chihuahua ($265), Maltese ($540), Dachshund ($400), 2-Cocker-Poo puppies ($455/$455) and a Beagle ($215). The total value is $5,105.
