MR PRESIDENT LEAD US WELL SONG OF THE DAY: Mr President, by African China VERSE 1 Food e no dey Brother eh water no dey And our country no good o Everyday for thief One day for owner e Poor man wey thief maggi Omo, dem go show im face for crime fighter [crime fighter] Rich man wey thief money Omo, we no dey see their face for crime fighter.... ......Make una lead us well No let this nation to fall inside well.... CHORUS Mr. President [Lead us well]...... ~ by African China In December 2012, the son of the Jigawa State Governor, Aminu Sule Lamido, was arrested at the Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport en route Cairo, Egypt over alleged failure to declare the $50,000 he had on him. Aminu was later prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for money laundering. The South African government has again seized another $5.7million allegedly belonging to the Federal Government, barely three weeks after it confiscated $9.3million allegedly meant for arms purchase by the same Federal Government. Nigerians demand to know from Mr. President why those involved in this illegal transfer and movement of cash are not being prosecuted just like the case of Lamidos son in 2012. Why is the President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Pastor Ayo Oritshejafor, whose private jet was used to move the first tranche of $9.3million still walking freely? The Federal Government would have claimed that such money was meant to fund Boko Haram if any opposition leader were to have been linked with these illegal diversion of funds. President Goodluck Jonathan had while defending the Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke and the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) over the alleged missing $20billion on Sunday, May 4, 2014, during his media chat, stated: “In every regime in Nigeria, there is always a story of missing oil money. We got calls from all over the world after Lamido Sanusi’s allegation of missing oil money. If anybody steals $20billion today, America will know and tell you where the money is, because $20billion is a lot of money. The frequency with which the above sums of money are being moved confirms in no uncertain terms that $20billion is actually missing in the NNPC. How could the American Government have known the whereabouts of the NNPCs missing $20billion if it was diverted in bits and pieces like the current cash-for-arms scandal rocking the Federal Government. We believe this was how the $20billion was diverted as well. Let Mr. President also tell Nigerians where the $9.3million and $5.7million now seized by South Africa was going, the same way he defended Diezani and the NNPC on national television. No doubt, Nigerians are no fools to believe that the government funds were not being illegally diverted. When the $9.3million was intercepted, was there any government official there? We have continued to see massive corruption and open diversion of public funds in our country and it is unfortunate that Mr. President is now being reputed for defending corruption and shielding corrupt officials involved in the diversion of public funds. Which nation in the world would buy arms with such huge amount of money without due process and respect for international law as regards such transactions? Is this how civilized nations buy arms and ammunitions? Nigerians believe that the sordid financial scam involving the Federal Government in South Africa is just a tip of the Iceberg. If God had not revealed these deals which bear the imprimatur of corruption at this time, nobody would have known. It is God that has exposed the Jonathan-led Federal Government in the $9.3million and $5.7million in illegal funds intercepted in South Africa within three weeks. It is unfortunate that in a country with ballooning unemployment, no power, no food, poor healthcare services, etc, our scarce resources are being illegally diverted on daily basis. It is so sad that at a time Boko Haram is killing innocent Nigerians in the Northwest and other parts of the country, the present administration is killing Nigerians with corruption. Which is more dangerous? The $9.3million and $5.7million now seized by the South African authorities is enough reason why the GEJs administration should not be returned to power in 2015 because the government has clearly demonstrated to the whole world how it is promoting, aiding and advertising corruption. Popular Nigerian music artiste, African China, in the lyrics quoted above, captured correctly the corruption and the financial malfeasance replete in our country today, with a call on MR PRESIDENT and other leaders to lead us well, No let this nation fall inside well because today, our nation is about to fall inside well. Finally, I want to beg Nigerians to continue praying to God to save our country from the GEJs administration. LIKE AFRICAN CHINA SAID, MR. PRESIDENT, LEAD US WELL. DONT LET THIS NATION FALL INSIDE WELL! Signed: Comrade Timi Frank 08070888888
