MRS.SUSAN LOBDELL MAIN-Ridgefield Press dated March 3,1904 Mrs.Susan Lobdell Main, widow of Sylvester Main, died suddenly in her 89th year of her age, on Saturday morning at the residence of her son-in-law,Mr.Frank E.Olmstead. Susan Main was born in North Salem,Sept.19,1815.Her father was Philip Lobdell and her mother was Temperance Smith.She was married to Sylvester Main in Ridgebury,May 27,1838, by the Rev.Nathan Burt.Four children were born to her,Mr.Hubert Platt Main, now of New York,Julia Syvester Main,Helen Ida Main and Cynthia Isabella Main, now Mrs.Frank E.Olmstead. Mrs.Main had lived in Ridgefield since her marriage and was well known to the older people of thiis town.She was a quiet, domestic woman, kindhearted, neighborly, and always ready to assist the needy.The funeral was attended from the home of her son-in-law.Mr.Franl E.Olmstead on Tuesday,at 1:30p.m.
