MS Assistantship: Angler Preferences and Satisfaction and SDM: Auburn University Salary: $15,540 Start Date: 08/20/2013 Last Date to Apply: 07/19/2013 Description One M.S. assistantship is available to conduct research on angler motivations, setting preferences, satisfaction with a specific focus on the Alabama State Lakes Program. This research is part of a larger project that will be used to develop a strategic decision making model (SDM) for the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, Division of Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries, Fisheries Section. Review of applications will begin on July 10th and continue until filled. Position is contingent on final approval of funds. A tuition waiver accompanies this assistantship. Qualifications Applicants should possess B.A. in Outdoor Recreation, Conservation Social Sciences or related natural resource field. Additionally, a minor in Fisheries, work or research experience with anglers, and/or significant experience as an angler is highly preferred. Undergraduate research experience is preferred. Applicants should have strong interpersonal skills and a strong independent work ethic. Peer reviewed publications are expected as a product of this research.
