((((( MTN DRIVE CHAT ))))) Randy writes to us Hi Lexis, I am 35 years and I have been dating my fiancée for 2years. She is 28 years. We are both gainfully employed. I liked her the very moment I saw her and hoped that she would be my Mrs. We took steps to know each and by the third week of knowing her, I proposed a relationship and we got started dating. We got along quite well but disagreed quite often on issues. I thought it was all part of knowing each other but Lexis, two years down the line and things have only gotten worse even though we have plans of consummating the marriage. Sometimes I comfort myself with this age old phrase, the devil you know is better than the angel you do not know but that will also mean, enduring your marriage. The problem is that, we argue over everything. From phones, Tv remotes, movie scenes, taste of food, where to have dinner, which side of the bed who should lay, who answers the doorbell when she is with me and even sitting position and intimacy as well. Often these things become very big fights and if she is spending the weekend with me, she leaves unceremoniously and very angry too. Etc… We apologize to each other while we are apart, we tend to kiss each other, call and text each other severally in a day and when we meet, someone definitely walks away angry…. We are even unable to plan our wedding reasonably. I love Akos and like I said earlier, sometimes I am tempted to just go on and endure. We’ve been together for two years and I can’t imagine starting all over again… what if that turns out worse? I love her and want things to work out between us… but I am clueless and I think she is too… Can anybody out there tell me what we can do? How can we stop arguing as often as we do? Often I let her have her way but that also makes me feel like I am not man enough In as much as I sometimes want to damn the consequences and go on, i am also often gripped with fear… I know a lot of young people can identify with this situation… How have you made your work? Do you have any special secrets? How do you avoid frequents and fights in your relationship? Or really are these signs of a possible marriage failure? Let’s get talking…
