MUMS AND DADS - HOMEOPATHY FOR ECZEMA IN BABIES / CHILDREN I would like to put out there how amazing I think homeopathy is! My darling 5 month old who is solely breastfed has severe eczema all over her front and back. As she is too little at this stage for herbal medicine I sought medical help. Their diagnosis was eczema and their prescription - to moisturise 5 x per day. This served only to irritate the eczema as the cream causes heat and made it itchy and red and gave me no idea of the cause or the aetiology behind her condition. I also tried and am still using eczema probitoics, and have made various dietary changes, but to this point I have not noticed an effect. So I went to a homeopath. Alongside a constitutional remedy which helps to bring into balance the effect Harpers family history of allergies has, she gave me a symptom remedy and within 3 doses the redness and heat had decreased dramatically. Within two days the rash/eczema has almost disappeared and the small patches still visible are healing well. I understand the need for scientific and evidence based practice however you cannot overlook these simple but amazingly effective medicines simply because the response cannot be replicated in a lab! I honestly feel homeopathy should be offered to all families with young children as a viable and safe alternative to allopathic medicine.
