MUNTARI, JORDAN AYEW DROPPED FOR ZAMBIA CLASH AC Milan midfielder Sulley Muntari has been dropped for Ghana’s crucial World Cup qualifier against Zambia next month. According to footy-ghana, Muntari, who wrote to the Ghana Football Association to apologise for his actions after being substituted in a recent World Cup qualifier in Lesotho, failed to make the cup for Ghana’s double header against Zambia and Japan. Footy-ghana reports that his failure to apologise directly to Ghana head coach Kwasi Appiah cost him his place in the Black Stars squad. Olympique Marseille striker Jordan Ayew was also not selected in the 26-man squad for the double header despite recently writing to the GFA to confirm his availability for the Black Stars. However Andre Ayew has been included in the squad, as has AC Milan midfielder Kevin Prince Boateng, after both players recently wrote to the GFA to revoke their respective retirements from international football. Kwasi Appiah has recalled Lee Addy into the team after more than a year’s absence as cover for John Boye, who has also been included in the squad after recovering from a thigh strain.
