ANSWERS TO FALSE ACCUSATION: ISLAM AND TERRORISM (PART 2): To wrong anyone is a sin punishable by Allah (sw) .Allah (sw) accepts the prayer of the wronged against the wrongdoer, even though that the wronged is a non-Muslim.Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said:Be aware of the prayer of the wronged person -even though he/she is a non-Muslim,for there is no partition between that prayer and answering it.(Ahmad,12140). Allah(sw) forbids wrongdoing even for His great self, and forbids it to all humanity.He (sw) says: O My servants, I have forbidden Myself to wrong, and I made wrongdoing forbidden among you, so do not wrong each other (Muslim,2577). In Islam,to wrong or harm an animal is a sin punishable by hell fire,never mind wrongdoing to a human. Prophet Muhammad (saw) said: A woman entered Hell fire for, she did tie a cat, she did not feed it, and did not let it search for its own food.(Bukhari(3318),Muslim(2619)).Thus Islam is far from harm and wrongdoing more than any religion. Islam has nothing at all to do with Terrorism;The Jihad in Islam(Fighting the enemies for the cause of Allah)) is to fight against wrongdoers.to punish the trespassers and violators, and protect the faith and people freedom to worship Allah (sw). To talk about Jihad in Islam,it is good to read about some of the events at dawn of Islam.When Allah (sw) sent Muhammad (pbuh) as a messenger to humanity,his tribe,QURAISH,supported by many other Arabian tribes, stood against him (pbuh), punished and killed the believers, while the believers were full of patience, following Allahs (sw) orders to be patient and not to fight. Have you not seen those who were told to hold back their hands(from fighting) and performs prayers and spend in regular charity.(Quran,4:77). The tribes insisted on harming and killing the believers, Therefore Allah(sw) allowed the Muslims to fight to protect themselves,To those against whom war is made, permission is given (to fight),because they are wronged;and verily Allah is Most Powerful for their aid.(They are) those who have been expelled from their homes in defiance of right,(for no cause) except that they say,OUR LORD IS ALLAH.(Quiran,22:39-40). The same verse explains the harm that will happen to human if they do not fight against wrongdoer using power and force, which are sufficient to make safe society. Did not Allah check one set of people by means of another,there would surely have been pulled down monasteries, churches, synagogues, and mosques, in which the name of Allah is commemorated in abundant measure. Allah will certainly aid those who aid his (cause);-for verily Allah is full of Strength,Exalted in Mighty,(able to enforce His Will).(Quran,22:40). The following verse shows the supposed characteristics of men of faith, whom Allah(sw)made them win their victory,(They are) those, if We establish them in the land, establish regular prayer and give regular charity,enjoins the right and forbids the wrong:with Allah rests the end (and decision ) of (all) affairs.(Quran,22:41). Allah(sw) ordered the prophet Muhammad(saw) and his companions not to start the war.Allah(sw) said:Fight in the cause of Allah those who fight you, but do not transgress the limits;for Allah loves not transgressors. And slay them wherever you catch them, and turn them out from where they have turned you out; for tumult and oppression are worse than slaughter; but fight them not at the sacred month unless they (first) fight you there; but if they fight you,slay them.Such is the reward of those who suppress faith.But if they cease, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. And fight them until there is no more Tumult or oppression, and there prevail justice and faith in Allah, but if they cease let there be no hostility except to those who practice oppression. The prohibited month for the prohibited month, and so for all things prohibited-there is the law of equality.If then anyone transgresses the prohibition against you, transgress you likewise against him.But fear Allah, and know that Allah is with those who restrain themselves.(Quran,2:190-194).If the violators stop wrongdoing,war and destruction on earth will be reduced, :Therefore if they withdraw from you but fight you not,and (instead) send you (Guarantees of) peace,then Allah has opened no way for you (to war against them).(Quran,4:90).When disbelievers declared a massive war against Muslims, the Islamic reaction is to fight back, for Allah(sw) ordered Muslims in the holy Quran to unite in order to fight.And fight the pagans all together as they fight you all together.But know that Allah is with those who restrain themselves.(Quran,9:36).Thus, fighting in Islam is an obligation according to lawful reasons. War is a favorable issue to humans, but it is, in general, the cure of some social and humanistic issues.Fighting is prescribed for you, and you dislike it.But it is possible that you dislike a thing which is good for you, and that you love a thing which is bad for you.But Allah knows, but you know not.(Quran,2:216). Prophet Muhammad(saw) used to ask his companions to pray to Allah(sw) to make their enemies return to their homes without fighting.He (pbuh) said:Oh people do not wish to face the enemy, instead ask Allah for good health and no harm, but if you face them, then be patient.(Bukhari(3024),Muslim(1742)). Allah (sw) confers a great favor upon prophet Muhammad (pbuh)) when He (sw) made the pagan disbelievers leaves the Muslim city without fighting,: And Allah turned back the Unbelievers for (all) their fury: no advantage did they gain; and enough is Allah for the believers for their fight.And Allah is full of Strength, able to enforce His Will.(Quran,33:25).In Islam the aim of the war is not to dominate the world and controls others; those who are concerned about life and luxury, by doing that,will lose the everlasting life in the hereafter,That home of hereafter We shall give to those who intend not high-handedness or mischief on earth: and the end is (best) for the righteous.(Quran,28:83). Asking the prophet Muhammad(saw) about the aim of legal fighting(Jihad) which was permitted by Allah, a man came to him (pbuh) and said;The man may fight for wealth,to be known, and to be famous, which of these is considered fighting for Allahs cause? Emphasizing the futility and the invalidity of fighting for earthly purposes,Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) replied:Fighting to make Allahs(sw) word the highest is fighting for Allahs cause.(Bukhari(2810), Muslim(1904)). Reading the Holy Quran, the sunna, and the history of Islam carefully, will show two important and noble objectives, of which Allah(sw) legislate Jihad to protect:(1) To defend the enmity against Islam,which,is in one way or another,prevents peoples from hearing the truth or believe in it. And fight them on until there is no more Tumult or oppression, and there prevail justice and faith in Allah.(Quran,2:193). Abdullah bin Omar(ra) said:When Islam was new,Muslim were under oppression to renounce Islam, and the pagans were either kill the person or tie and torture him/her.(Bukhari,(4515)). Muslims perform JIhad bravely to free humans,ensure their freedom of making their decisions and choice, and to fends off those who try to prevents them from doing so. Tumult and oppression are worse than slaughter.Nor will they cease fighting you until they turn you back from you faith if they can. And if any of you turn back from their faith and die in unbelief,their works will bear no fruits in this life and in Hereafter; they will be companions of the fire and will abide therein.(QurAan,2:217). RUBIE BIN AMER, In the QADISEYA battle, declared and explained this noble objective.The Leader of the Persian army asked him for the reason of their coming. He answered,Allah(sw) sent us to lead mankind (By the will of Allah (sw)) to change from worshiping humans to worship Allah(sw) from misery of life to its happiness,from religions justice to the justice of Islam, and to invite all peoples to believe in Him (sw).(Al-bedaya wa Annihayah,7/40). To believe in Allah (sw) is the most precious issue one could have, it has priority and sacrifice oneself for its cause.
