MUTV will be broadcast in the Middle East for the first time as a result of a new partnership with the gulf-based channel STC. The broadcaster has purchased the rights to the team’s official channel, giving Middle Eastern viewers access to breaking news, documentaries and behind-the-scenes glimpses of the side. Richard Arnold, managing director of Manchester United, said: “Since forming our partnership in 2008, STC has demonstrated its expertise in developing and delivering outstanding products that meet the needs of our fans. “By making MUTV available via its HD subscription channel to almost four million Manchester United followers in the Middle East, STC is helping our fans to get closer to the club they love.”
