After millions of sales and dozens of top 40 hits, they continue to write songs whose verses sound like choruses and their choruses sound like something rapturous from another universe. Think of how difficult it is to keep a music career going for five years, let alone 30, still fill venues to capacity on sold-out tours (this year) every two years, and still have rabid fans that devour every single thing you release. If anything, this is a lesson in nothing is more important than the melody, stupid. Nothing short of a pop miracle.
