MY ACHING BACK! Back started hurting on 29 DEC 13 after I began trying to move boxes of stuff, from basement to garage, in preparation for a trip to the dump. Saw my primary Doc about back pain on 3 JAN 14. After 4 weeks of crippling back pain, I went back to the naval hospital here and got x-rays of my spine. The radiologist saw at least 2 fractured vertebrae, and suggested a CT scan for a closer look. Below are some of his observations. Hi! Your recent L-spine x-ray showed advanced compression fracture at L1 and new compression fractures 30% at T12 as compared to previous CT scan completed in July 2010. Diffuse osteopenia, and L5 pars defects with associated spondylolisthesis with advanced degenerative changes similar to before. He also wrote: There are dense atherosclerotic calcifications of the abdominal aorta and ilia arteries. I guess this puts an end to my attempt to clean out my basement!
