MY BIO -Born Joseph Aaron Stewart in San Francisco on October 25, 1992, his father being a notorious drug lord, Metro quickly learned street smarts as well as talents through Oakland and the Bay Area before age 6. Raised in a heavy music environment, Metro had an ear for all kinds of sounds creating a solid foundation for his craft. After witnessing the violent passing of his father, Metro moved around the world in search of a better life to states such as Florida, Georgia, and Missouri. Each state individually shaped his style evolving him to a multitalented artist. At age 11, he climbed in a luggage locker at a greyhound station in Texas and with his mom’s cell phone created bass and recorded his first verse. His mom being so blown away by his skill began showing it off proudly, and seeing the reaction from the people he decided by age 12 he wanted to be famous. He earned the name Metro from older role models he had who always said he was well known on the underground seeing him everywhere like the bus system called “the metro”. Returning to the bay at 15, Metro was preparing to get well known, he began attending freestyle battles and open mics displaying exceptional skill earning a solid name for himself faster than he expected. After catching several serious charges and nearly served many years, he was forced to question his future during a 2 year term. After being released, Metro was serious about his sound and was ready for firm change. In 2012, he began making his first project, a Mixtape, named “The Drop Off” featuring all the artist he worked with making it a well rounded introduction. Networking with different producers and artist began to pay off for him in a major way and by the time he released the part one to his “Grow” series Mixtapes in 2011, he was respected statewide. Looking up to legends in the industry allowed him to set the bar high for expectations with his music, giving him a good deal of leverage. Currently establishing himself in the music world he builds networks preparing himself for a lasting career.
