MY DEVOTIONAL (Not by might, 08-12-14) KJV Zechariah 4 : 6 6 Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts. The Lord had asked His people to build the temple and indeed He promised them that the temple will be built and will be filled with His glory as before. However, the message to Zerubbabel this time round was that the temple will be built not by the peoples might, nor by their power nor wit but by the Lords own Spirit or design. Have you received a promise from the Lord or prophecy concerning your life trust in the Lord for its fulfillment and not in your own merit for except the Lord builds the house they labour in vain that build it (Ps. 127:1). As the year gradually wears to its end, many plans, resolutions and declarations would be made for next year towards our development, progress and breakthrough but all those arrangements should be committed to the hands of the Lord for its not by your might nor anything that you can do but by Gods favor and grace. Never forget also that whatever good thing you are able to do is by the blessing and grace of God. If you forsake Him, you will perish.
