MY GENERATION Why did My generation like to make life so difficult, so difficult for themselves? Why must I buy a Cow, borrowed a Jeep, rent a reception of 800k, build house for your mama, buying a wedding gown of 150k, wedding ring, 100k, etc, just because I want to marry you... Why? No wonder marriages are rarely taking place in this last sinful generation because many ladies and their families today are always building a Wall around themselves instead of building a BRIDGE.. ( much I need to become a Chevron staff just because I want to marry you) I do not remember the last time I watched a Bisi Olatilo TV shows or any Shows that are displaying a flamboyant or a wasteful extravagance wedding on TV because they are deceiving my generation assive a happy Home depends on a wasteful spending on a wedding day. Look! My Readers:- let me tell you, Its not about the billions of naira you spent on your wedding day, Its the life you lives after that, glorious noisy day. I have a friend in Philippine, she asked me, Michael, Its true that Muslims in Africa are still collecting Dowry? I told her plainly that, Its not only Muslims that are collecting Dowry in Africa, Christians collected the double of whatever Muslims are demanding, she couldnt believed what she heard, my generation are making life miserable for themselves. (Why must I sell my fathers house just because I want to marry sister Rebecca? Why?) In my generation, if a lady from a Poor family wanted to marry a man from a wealthy family, the mans family would see the lady as wince and if a man from a poor family wanted to marry a lady from a rich family, the family would see him as a devil that came to reap from where He did not sown. The ladys family can only accepted the poor man the way He was, only if their daughter is off-age. My generation are seriously making life so difficult and unbearable for themselves and for their children with all manners of worldly yokes (unnecessary demanding) imposed on someone that came to marry their children. Some years ago, my friend established a relationship on a lying foundation, He lied to his spouse, I am this... I am that when He was nothing. The foundation was laid on lies upon lies. He never took the lady to his a room apartment instead, He took her to his friend apartment and called it his house, he borrowed cars and drove it to the girls house just to impress her that he was very rich. Finally and finally, they wedded. He emptied his business just to get the marriage done. When his friends drove the lady to his room apartment, the lady realised that their love-relationship has been laid on lies... 5days later, she said, she cant continue the marriage in a room with someone lied He owns 3bedroom flat. she went to court and terminated their marriage and also torn the wedding certificate and went on her own way. My friend spent another 7yrs learning the errors of his life. After a lot of sober reflection, the Lord answered his Prayer, He Opened-up to his new wife to be, showed her his room apartment, told her about his business................... Today, He was happily married in a room, while the project of their house is on-going, his 2nd time wedding was never in an extravaganza wasteful way but in a humble way. Happy Marriage Life my friend. One of Pst E.A. Adeboyes adopted child was above marriAGE, she has prayed, fast, cried and one day, when she woke from sleep, she looked through her window, she saw a Gate-man Opened gate for someone, and The Lord told her, that gate man is your husband. She quickly rejected the voice. She kept on praying more and more but never heard the Lord speaking anymore and Daddy Adeboye also kept praying, but one day, the Lord told Adeboye that he has already answered her. Daddy Adeboye called her and enquired. She told Daddy about someone she saw and the voice she heard. Daddy Adeboye prayed and the Lord told him, that Gate-man is her husband. I brought him to work under you so they could meet. Daddy Adeboye had to sent him to Oversee.......... He was trained and studied abroad. When he came back 2yrs later, nobody recognised him anymore, He was totally a changed man. She was happily married to a Gate-man. Instead for Adeboye to start looking at him as a wizard or devil and send him off, He Re-constructed his life, Add sugar and salt and make his life a meaningful Okron soup, Unlike many parents today in my generation that would wage war against those poor coming near their daughter or son assive they have been infected with Ebola. (No wonder your daughter is 40, and yet, no man comes again because those that has been coming, you use Dog, Police, Gun, Iced to chased them away....... Why not marry your daughter yourself?) My generation:- Look! You do not need Brazilian hair, makeup, eyelashes, golden rings, wedding gown, wedding shoes, wedding suite, etc before you can marry that man, you only need a mature partner that fear God and has Potential in him. Marriage is beyond fine Boy meet fine Girl (Oju le rewa, Oro enu le tutu, sugbon ki Okan Buru) the eye may be too beautiful, the utterances may be soft-spoken but the heart could be so corrupt, bad, wicked, unmerciful, un compassionate and Ungodly. If my generation are desiring a happy home, they should realised that, the work someone is doing presently does not define him. Life is an Express-ways, Overtaking is allowed. A Poor Jonathan yesterday is our todays President. A Poor MKO was a well known all over the world even in death. Our Lord Jesus Christ was born in a Carpentry house, today, the same Christ is a saviour of all Universe. You can chose where to live and where to die but you can not choose where to be born, for the fact that you werent born in Aluko Dangotes family does not mean God is unfair to you, if you were born in Aluko Dangote family, you may not have survive the challenges the family are facing. Stop judging people according to their look, size colour, height, background, where He work, live and what He drives if truly you are looking for a Happy Marriage Life.
