MY GRANDAD HENRY L. WALDEN was born today in 1912 . He would be 102 . He was a character for those who knew him. A rough tough man but loved his grandchildren like no one . I always said he was happiest with me ,Dori and Jeffrey on his sofa and him sitting in the middle of some of us. He always had a joke !loved to laugh.He was at the premiere of GONE WITH THE WIND IN ATLANTA 75 YEARS AGO TODAY . He would have been 27 . WOW imagining him at 27 makes me smile . He met OLIVIA DeHAVILAND AND Clark Gable and Vivian Leigh , He loaned his coat to one of the stars who lost hers . He said it was freezing that night . It opened at the LOWE THEATRE . A big deal for Atlanta ! I miss him . He knew a lot about our country and history . I still think oh I could ask grandad that .......then I SMILE AND MY HEART ACHES A BIT . I AM A BETTER MAN FOR KNOWING HENRY !\
