****MY GRAVE,MY FIRST ABODE*** It is a natural phenomenon that all human beings shall taste death. Allah said Every soul shall taste death, then to us you will return we all believed that death will soon overtake existence and our lives rap up so fast, it is possible to play the records of our lives & our living for few days or hours, death swiftly overcome human beings no matter who they are. But come to think of it what is the aftermath of death, what will happen to me after I am gone?... This is a question that worths been asking oneself severally, those that have died what is happening to them in their prospectives graves - punishment or enjoyment??? Alas! What a terrible situation we found ourselves.. Allah gave us the answer when HE said He caused him to die & put him in his grave, then it is His will, He will resurrect him again (Q80v21-22). The prophet said grave is the first abode of every soul. He also said graves are full of several punishments of what we used to do on earth... One of the companions of the prophet didnt feel so impressed when Paradise is being mentioned or when the punishment of hell is being mentioned but when grave is mentioned he will cry to the extent that his beard will be full of water. when he was asked why he said I heard the prophet saying grave is the first abode of every soul... My brothers and my sisters lets prepare for our first home grave. Life of this world is delusion, deception, deceit n wasteful but only useful for those who work righteously. Our prophet one day was walking with his companions & he found a dead animal & he asked them that, this dead animal; does it worth being sold for a dhirram by his owner? They replied him no, he said that is how this world is to Allah, that if the world worth something to Allah, He wouldnt have given the non-believers any thing. Allah said And those who believe (in oneness of Allah, & His messenger I.e Muhammed(sw) including all obligations ordered by Islam)and do righteous good deeds,they are the best of creatures, Their reward with their Lord is Adh(eden)paradise (garden of eternity), underneath water flows, they will abide therein forever (Q98v8) & as for those who disbelieve (in Islam,Quran & prophet(sw) & what we revealed to him) from among the people of the scripture (Jews and Christians) & mushrikun, will abuse in the fire of hell. They are the worst of creatures (Q98v6)... The prophet used to supplicate after solat and before ending the prayer that Allahumma ini aushu bika min,adhaabil qabri,Wa ammin adhaabi jahannama,Wa min fitnatl Madhya qal mamaati, Wa min sharri fitnatil maseehid-dajjal Meaning Oh Allah,I seek refuge in you from the punishment of the grave,and from the punishment of Hell-fire, from the evil trial of false Messiah... (Amin) May Allah(sw) forgive the writer & the readers of any shortcomings and accept it as an act of ibadah...
