*MY JOURNEY TO HEALTHY* Believe it or not I was the fat kid in school. Bullied all through secondary school for being overweight and wearing glasses. I was the kid who forged notes to get out of any sports! It wasnt until my late teens I started to go to the gym and change my lifestyle. I had so little confidence I would cross the road to avoid walking past other kids. I started to become addicted to exercise, slimming tablets, whatever I could get my hands on that I thought my help me lose weight. I bordered on an eating disorder several times. I lost 3.5 stone but still thought I was fat when I looked in the mirror. I would do to the gym and do cardio for 5 hours at a time! I was slim by the time I was 20- but by no means healthy. I was skinny fat. It was only when I started eating a clean diet, weight training and battled my issues with food that I became a much healthier, happier and more confident person. A paleo diet allowed me to eat loads of clean food without feeling guilty. Lifting weights and getting new personal records boosted my self esteem. This transferred to other areas of my life. I achieved many proud moments in my career. A clean lifestyle and regular exercise based mainly around weight training is the magic formula for many people. All guilt free goodies are clean foods that can aid a clean lifestyle and weight loss when eaten in moderation. I am no expert but I have learnt from my many years of experience. I was always focused on wanting to be skinny when really you should strive for being healthy. Ive shared this because there are people out there struggling with the same battle I had, and I want you to know that being happy and healthy is achievable.
