MY LIFE ............Upon Volunteering for AD after 8 civilian Physician years, 9-11 & 6 months at Ft Knox (contractor to help out).....for the last decade. I was one of the ranking Officers & on the Executive/Credentials Committee of the flagship USAF Wilford Hall Hospital in San Antonio, the 7 AM- 8 PM Surgical ICU Attending 2005-06, in the field with SOCOM in 2008 & promoted to a Residency Instructor at Nellis AFB. During my SOCOM deployment I was wounded & then had complications/incident (temporary paralysis via Ant. Cord Syndrome at T 7-8) from wound revision surgery at the Miami VA, I NOW have had to focus on Rehab (3-4 hours per day focused of physical exercises), etc... I am VERY PROUD to have treated EVERY severely injured troop (>1000) leaving Iraq during my time in War Zone....I now focus on helping other individual WWs, bringing attention to Veteran causes/needs(I have seen EVERY side of the fence) & political movements to improve our GREAT (SUPERIOR) NATION. (GOP, Tea Party, AL, VFW, Congressional Aids, DOD leaders, etc.... unfortunately, the VA is Broke & is a CONSTANT obstacle to so many Veterans via management, quality of care, the ratings system, simple access & overt corruption/fraud every where I, & others, look; could be fixed with the right people in charge ..sad.. ) I hope to get back up to par one day, have had to turn down major job offers, like hospital COO/CEO/Medical Director, until my spine/body is healed ....((may take years or never, dont know)), but I ALWAYS trust in GOD to guide me, protect the path that HE wants me to follow & allow FAITH to work. EVERYONE in life goes through HUGE struggles, as big as mine, but one thing that I have learned is that ONLY a persons FAITH in GOD , the SUPPORT of friends/family & garnering the energy to pick oneself up each day to HELP THOSE AROUND YOU 1ST is what REALLY matters in our lives on Earth. God loves all who both believe & have TRUE FAITH in their love, actions, guidance of others; always ending in the tenets of JOHN 3:16. I love EVERYONE who reads this & will be there for YOU in times of need/issues b/c PEACEFUL, FAITH/PATRIOTIC BASED ACTION is what is NEEDED in AMERICA ..............my STRONG opinion................... jp :)
