MY NEIGHBOR’S KID My neighbor has two young boys; Golden the eldest one is 4 and Babare the younger one is 2. Golden will only come to my house whenever he wants something from me and when he is coming, he will bring along him his younger one Babere, before they get to me he will tell Babere to tell me that they want biscuit and when they enter he will play with me alittle and then he will say that Babere said that he wants biscuits. When he gets his biscuits, he will force his younger one to leave with him; he doesn’t enjoy me, he only wants what I have and when he gets it he goes and come next time he sense that there is something. But Babare will come and play and stay with me, his mother will call him and he will refuse to go, whenever he sees that I’m alone, he will call me ‘cucule (uncle)’ like a hundred times and speak tongues that I cant figure its meaning out and laugh and try to play with me; he really do enjoy been with me. Sometimes he will offer to follow me out and when I object, he will cry. Though he also wants biscuit like his big brother but been with me is more important to him than getting biscuits and gifts. Romans 12:9 says ‘Let love be without hypocrisy…’. Golden’s love for me is with hypocrisy while his younger brother’s own is without hypocrisy. Its evil to play and pretend you love someone in order to collect from such person. Don’t tell people you love them because of what you want to benefit from them when you don’t actually do.
