MY PHOTOGRAPHY by HECTOR A. GONZALEZ – EKTOR Fine Art Photography: As an observer of life I would always look at nature, objects, people and details. My pivoting moment came about when I incurred in the charitable humanitarian world and I was given a camera to take some “social contents” theme photographs for a well known philanthropic entity in Palm Beach - Coral Gables, FL. As a result, the above experience changed my life; I, Hector, had found my calling – Photography ! As I delved into the “Art of Photography” by studying different styles and techniques, I realized one definite commonality, pleasing the eye of the public; Landscapes, Portraits, Nature. For me however, my photographic purpose is a more realistic approach, i.e. to present Humanity as it is by capturing different facets: Happiness, Sadness and Loneliness – Families – People, rich and poor. Lastly, as part of this ecosystem and as a nature lover, I had to incorporate photographic aspects of nature in general, placing special attention to “Macro” Photography. It is my desire to Photograph what one can’t see with a keen eye, the beauty of detail. True Fine Art Photography must be authentic in order to stir emotions. My photographic work is presented with realistic simplicity from a different non-conventional perspective but always with a purpose, i.e. a call for action whether in our own lives, humanity, our ecosystem in general with rewarding results … our legacy !
