MY PREDICTIONS FOR THE YEAR 2015 Call me a soothsayer, a - TopicsExpress

MY PREDICTIONS FOR THE YEAR 2015 Call me a soothsayer, a Prophet of doom, a pessimistic Nigerian or an unrepentant supporter of Goodluck Ebele Jonathan and I may be unperturbed by whatever appellation you decide to attach to my name....for that is strictly your opinion. However, I am under strict obligations of conscience and inspiration to express my personal opinion too without worrying about whose mindsets might be violated in the process and without much consideration for whoever may feel the words I speak are impossible. I must state in very clear terms that my views are premised on the experiences I had in the year 2014, my personal interactions with people others will readily term dangerous, my insatiable search for truth and the openness of my mind to the reception and perception of undiluted facts in their gospel form. So, what are my predictions for the new year? 1. There will be political crisis in diverse dimensions. First off, if GEJ gets re-elected, the Northern elements alongside some deranged south-western elements will attempt to burn the nation(a renewed flame of insurgency). However, if GMB gets elected, the South-South elements will deploy all that they have in their arsenal to set the Nation ablaze (Civil War). Either way in the Presidential election, trouble looms and we may yet have another civil war/graver terrorist attacks on our hands. 2. Power will change hands in most of the States and politicians will attempt to heat up the polity such that the nation may yet be unstable. I see APC losing some ground in the South-West, gaining some in the North-Central but generally, I do not see them having the government majority. 3. If Nigeria continues its huge dependence on Crude Oil, I see the economy being on the defensive throughout 2015. It means, those who attempt to pioneer a shift in paradigm will make huge successes while many employees who aim to maintain the status quo will have their jobs constantly threatened. Farm Owners and Agro-based exporters will have their bellies full to bursting. 4. On a general note, the year 2015 will be a fruitful year for all who are willing to look beyond the export kinetics of our nations crude and shift focus to the potentials of our agriculture, tourism and art. That of course is if Nigeria remains one nation that long. 5. There will be more intense political horse-trading, cross-carpeting and back-stabbing in the New Year than we have ever witnessed. Kins will deceive their kinsmen, money will motivate many, the greed for power will increase and the atmosphere will be constantly filled with suspicion and distrust. 6. I foresee a grand disgrace for OBJ. If GEJ becomes President again and Nigeria remains, his disgrace is first certain. If GMB wins and the Nation remains, he will realize he has backed ungrateful and turncoat children who will pay him disgrace for his cunning support of their ambition. If Nigeria goes ahead to split, he will not be accorded his right of place in the South-Western fragment as the factors in the region no longer recognize him as a sincere and patriotic factor. 7. I will sound more Pastor-like in the coming year, not that I will be one but I will often sound like one! Many will wonder why I have chosen to say this, but I ask such persons to calmly wait and see what I mean. I could become a husband in the coming year, but one thing is certain, I will be far less controversial than I was in 2014. Its time to mend my fences! I guess now that I am done, it is time for name-calling and finger-pointing! Smiles.....I anticipated that so I will not be surprised! But, mark my words, for you will most likely look back at it by December 2015 and say, he sure was right..... Whatever you do in 2015, please make sure you are safe and far away from trouble! I sure love you. Best Regards. DO
