( Genesis 3:1 > Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. It indicated a reliance on his part on an arm of flesh, an estimating of his power not by the divine favor but by the material resources of his kingdom. He thought of military achievement and of conquest, and forgot that he was GODS vice-regent . In all this he sinned against God . The sin you commit does not just befall wrath and judgement upon you the greatness of GODS POWER is that it incomposes all involved ... While Joab was engaged in the census, Davids heart smote him, and he became deeply conscious of his fault ( their is the conviction ) and in profound humiliation he confessed , I have sinned greatly in what I have done to late the damage was already done ... The prophet Gad was sent to him to put before him three dreadful alternatives (2Samuel 24:13; for seven years in this verse, the LXX. and 1Chronicles 21:12 have three years), three of Jehovahs four sore judgments (Ezekiel 14:21). Two of these David had already experienced. He had fled for some months before Absalom, and had suffered three years famine on account of the slaughter of the Gibeonites. In his strait David said, Let me fall into the hands of the Lord. David was not ingnorant as to whom GOD was he knew the preadventure GOD ! would have MERCY upon him ! David knew that GOD s Mercy endures ! forever ... David had a glimps of GODS HEART toward man....Now he had to make a decision ... this is why David cried out with a loud voice ! Let me fall into the hands of the LORD ....many Leaders are operating in a spirit of pride & a self - gloryfing spirit ....and have dispised console of other leaders in the church ... oh high and mighty are you .... there are some lay - members sitting in the audience .. and see all that is going on and choose not to speak up against the wrong and GOD is not pleased ... THE JUDGEMENT OF GOD START AT THE HEAD ! AND FLOW DOWN ....... IF THE HEAD IS OUT OF LINE ! THEN ... SO IS THE BODY ... YET THE COMPASSION OF THE LEADER SHOULD BE FOR THE CHILDREN OF GOD ...NOW THEY ARE SO CONTENT WITH THEIR MESS .. THAT THEY DONT EVEN TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION !THE FOLK IN THE CONGREGATION ! PRIDE HAS MADE THEM FEEL LIKE THEY OWN SOME THING ....THIS IS MY CHURCH WHEN MY DADDY DIED HE WAS THE BISHOP HERE FOR 45 YRS .... ( SO) IT IS GODS CHURCH .... AND YOU WILL PAY TO GOD WHAT IS GODS ... AND TO CAESAR WHAT IS CAESARS ..... GODS ELECT
