MY THOUGHTS AND VENTINGS OF THIS WOMANS AUDACITY TO GO TO THE SENATE FLOOR TO PUSH FOR THE KEYSTONE PIPELINE JUST BECAUSE SHE DID NOT GET WHAT SHE WANTED IN OTHER ISSUES.I HOPE THAT THERE WILL BE THOSE WHO SEE THRU HER (MEN) AND NOT FALL FOR HER PLEAS. THE AMERICAN PEOPLE AROUND AND CLOSE TO THIS PIPELINE FIGHTING FOREVER TO STOP IT ARE ONES WHO NEED TO BE HEARD NOT ANOTHER POLITICIAN TALKING THRU BOTH SIDES OF THEIR MOUTH. Landrieu Pushes For Keystone Pipeline on Senate Floor: I Believe It Is Time To Act Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-Louisiana) took to the Senate floor this afternoon to push for the Keystone XL pipeline. This has been a project that has lingered far too long, she said. It is clearly supported by 60 or more members of this body. It is a piece of legislation that has been endorsed by the new Majority Leader, to-be Majority Leader, is a cosponsor and a leading cosponsor of the legislation. I believe it is time to act, Landrieu said. I believe that we should take the new Majority Leader at his word and stop blocking legislation that is broadly supported by the American public and has been for quite some time. I want to say yes to new Majority Leader Mitch McCconnell. The time to start is now. The public has clearly spoken. SEN. MARY LANDRIEU: I want to come to the floor today to ask Senator Cornyn from Texas particularly and Senator McConnell and Senator Reid and others if they would join me in moving forward on the Keystone XL pipeline. There are a significant number of Democrats on that legislation, and I believe with a push, a significant push in the next few hours, that we could actually get the votes that we need to pass the Keystone pipeline. Now, in an hour or so at the request of the minority, Im going to wait for about an hour and then Im going to propose a unanimous consent to do exactly that. To set up two hours of debate tonight after the vote and then have a vote on the Keystone pipeline tomorrow. I believe it is time to act.
