MY THOUGHTS ON TOWNHALL MEETINGS: Let me gazette a simple definition of a town hall meeting - It is a meeting of the people of a particular town or locality by the people of that locality for the people of the locality, on issues concerning that locality. It is different from this one where indigenes of other LGAs swoop on a town, not theirs, and occupy the local government venue of the purported town hall meeting to act scripts and make speeches already determined for them . A true townhall meeting to decide the governorship in 2015 or any other important matters MUST STEM FROM THE PEOPLE and the decisions reached become final and sacrosanct. Any outsiders attend as observers - they are only seen, and not heard.. The local population, that is people of the area drive the process and the outcome final. I recommend that real townhall meetings be held by the different federal constituencies after this one to hear the cry of the people.
