MYSC INVITES APPLICATIONS FOR YOUTH BUSINESS DIRECTORY The Ministry of Youth, Sport & Culture (MYSC) is developing a Directory of Youth Owned Businesses, to assist procurement from youth owned enterprises; ALL young people who operate businesses are invited to register with the YOUTH BUSINESS DIRECTORY 2014/15, given that the Presidential Directive 19(B) 2013, has set aside 20% of Government and Parastatal tenders above the micro procurement threshold for Youth and other special groups. In 2012/13, a total of P91 million worth of tenders were awarded to youth owned companies. In the succeeding financial year 2013/14, a total of P206 million of tenders were awarded to youth owned companies. Furthermore, the Ministry of Infrastructure, Science and Technology annually sets aside 15% of maintenance contracts/tenders to youth owned companies. To benefit from this 20% Procurement Directive, Youth are requested to register with the YOUTH BUSINESS DIRECTORY; Application forms can be cut from Monday/Wednesday DAILY NEWS NEWSPAPERS or from the nearest Ministry of Youth, Sport and Culture Offices anywhere around the country.
