Maas Def sounds like one of those people envious of the wealthy. If you impose a 10% General Consumption Tax the wealthy people will pay more automatically so to further impose community service like the justice system does actually punishes the wealthy for their exercising their God given right to accumulate wealth, thus deterring prosperity. The GCT has proven to be effective in Jamaica but the federal government would be responsible for state budgets here in America. The tax would probably be around 15% to eliminate additional income taxes and tax refunds would become a thing of the past not to mention items such as bread, milk and cheese would no longer be tax exempt. Think, think, think.
