MacMun 2013 What is MacMun? MacMun stands for Macedonian International Model of United Nations. It is a simulation of the work of the UN, what they really do and the problems they are facing. This event is being organized for the first time in Republic of Macedonia, by Suna MK (United Nations Association in Macedonia sunamk.org ) in cooperation with AIESEC – International student platform aiesecskopje.org.mk . The main purpose of MacMun is for the students to be aware of the problems regarding the whole society and with their common cooperation to contribute in achieving a solution. Official working language during the simulation will be English. MacMun – international conference which will simulate the work of the following UN bodies and their topics: - Ecosoc (Economic and Social Council) – Millennium Development goals – where are we now and what can we do by 2015 (with the time we have left) - Security Council – Demonstrations and its effect on national security – Focus on demonstrations in Turkey, Brazil, Syria, Libya and Bosnia This conference will take place at the Faculty of Economics – University Ss. Cyril and Methodius – Skopje, Macedonia from 12th to 15th of September, 2013.
