Machon 1974-1975 Journal, Part 5 January 2, 1975 visited a Karaite community (Ashdod) January 3 lunch at veggie restaurant with Molly, Ruth, and Deanne January 4 dinner with Shira, Mollie, and Carol (latkes in Carol’s room) January 5 train to Tel Aviv. Sherut to Ha Galil. Dinner at spaghetti place January 6 Old Jaffa Flea Market. Movie- Death Wish January 8 Carol has been so sick she had to leave the program and go home. Said goodbye in Tel Aviv January 9 from now on a normal day for me is: 7 get up, brush teeth, wash face 7:15 meditate 7:45 breakfast 8-10 hebrew Rest of day- classes and/or write letters, play guitar, take a shower and study January 10 lecture on big powers in mid east affairs. Otherwise a normal day January 11 started studying Europe on $10 a Day January 14 Went back to Yad Vashem with Paula. Saw Hertzel’s tomb. January 15 got first letter from Carol January 28 Went to Hadassah Hospital to visit friend of Geoff. Saw Chagall Windows. Finished work on Hadracha project February 3 5:30AM left for tiyul to North. Saw ruins at Casario. Slept at Naharia February 4 Rosh Hanikra. Six hour hike to crusader castle and then Rosh Pinna February 5 Kametra (Syrian), Hermon. Waterfall at Banias February 6 FIRST DAY ON MOSHAV AMIRIM!!!!! (with Geoff Brown)
