Magpies Nest , based in Stalybridge town in Tameside (Greater Manchester) are next in our Small Biz 100! We are a fledgling business that stocks the most fabulous ladies accessories. Our product ranges include ladies scarves, leather bags & purses from British companies, Galleria Umbrellas, Designer & locally handmade jewellery as well as costume. We take a lot of pride in the stock we carry, sourcing unusual and quirky items – the type of products you won’t find in large department stores and supermarkets. We aim to give all our customers an excellent and memorable shopping experience regardless of spend, and this is achieved through the stores decor, which is a mix of recycled pallets and chicken wire, vintage furniture and till, with a chandelier thrown in for good measure! And by putting the customer at the centre of everything we do. We recently won the Pride of Tameside Start-Up Business of the Year award, as well as being a finalist for the Pride of Tameside Retailer of Year award. This year to celebrate and highlight Small Business Saturday we are going to be in the local supermarket promoting our business and encouraging (or trying to incite!!) the shoppers to venture into our shop with a discount for any supermarket customers that produce their supermarket receipt. We will also be giving all our customers a raffle ticket as we will be holding a free prize draw.
