Mahalaya is more special to me than the four days of Pujo and that is because of two men... One being Birendra Krishna Bhadra, who unless pronounces Ashwin er sarada praate , I never feel like its Autumn... and the other is Tata... Lying by him listening the radio as a kid, or the only day I was allowed to have tea... the smell of Jalebis and ofcourse the Shiuli gaach of the yard who used to bloom so much that you couldnt see its leaves. Only a ghost of the tree remains now. The yard has been fragmented and clogged... Tata is nomore. Yet the morning starts with Ashwiner sarada praate :-)
