Maintenance Manager - Polokwane To optimise technical effeciencies of the plant to increase productivity and staff effectiveness. Minumim Requirements: •Qualified Millwright specializing in electrical maintenance. •5 years’ experience in a food industry, of which at least 4 years in maintenance environment in supervisory capacity. •Valid driver’s license •Sound knowledge of the ISO and HACCP is required. •Knowledge of SAGE system will be an added advantage •Problem solving and analytical skills critical. •Excellent communication skills and interpersonal relations. •Time management important to adhere to deadlines. •Must be able to plan, organize, delegate, control, prioritize and work under pressure. Responsibilities: •Initiate, perform and oversee all maintenance requirements. •Plan, organise and supervise the maintenance activities by scheduling work, staff rosters and keeping accurate job card control system. •Monitor completion of job assignments through frequent field observation and inspection to ensure compliance standards. •Serve as safety representative, including assisting with safety audits, facilitating compliance and maintaining safety records. •Maintain appropriate documentation of maintenance schedules, equipments installations, structural repairs, work orders and other operating reports. •Control budget and recommend cost saving strategies in the purchasing of equipments. •Manage the maintenance budget, report weekly and monthly financial information in conjunction with the Plant manager. •Ensure compliance with all Quality, Food safety legislative requirements. •Ensure staff competence by conducting on the job training and coaching/mentoring. •Oversee the interns program and ensure competence.
