Maintenance Manager: Category : Food and Beverage Location/City : NJ - New Brunswick Id : 3027817 Job Type : Direct Hire Growing baked goods manufacturer is in search of a Maintenance Manager for thier NJ facility. Key Duties and Responsibilities: * Prepares, coordinates, schedules, and oversees execution of work orders.- * Ability to solve problems in bakery flow-line manufacturing environment. - * Diagnostic, monitoring and troubleshooting * Designs and manages preventive maintenance and spare parts systems to support performance objectives.- * Oversees preventive maintenance and emergency repair of motors, electrical systems, refrigeration equipment, HVAC and utility equipment, power generation equipment, steam boilers, food mixers, steam kettles, air compressors, manufacturing equipment and material handling equipment. * Will conduct routine predictive testing to detect bearing wear, mechanical looseness, misalignment, defective belts, defective rotors, and other electrical malfunctions.- * Supervises team of mechanics of various skill levels.- * Uses a computerized preventive maintenance program to schedule PM, assign personnel, order parts, and maintain appropriate level of critical spare parts inventory.- * Responsibilities include repair cost monitoring, and departmental labor, parts, outside services, and supplies budgeting.- * Works with the other members of the team to coordinate and oversee various capital or repair projects as required.- * Ensures compliance with regulatory and company safety policies and procedures within maintenance department at all times.- * Responsible for ensuring compliance with, and maintaining comprehensive records regarding, all federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and requirements including, but not limited to, AQMD, OSHA, HAZMAT, water quality and Fire Safety.- * Contracting with and overseeing the activities of various contractors for the fulfillment of plant/facilities maintenance responsibilities including corporate offices.- * Develops and implements new methods, procedures, and systems to improve plant maintenance service performance.- * Oversees purchasing activity, ensuring best possible price, performance, and supply solutions are secured. Negotiate pending equipment issues to meet company objectives. Ensure that company policies and procedures are used regarding purchasing and contracts.- * Support other departments in various plant inspections such as AIB, SQF, health and waste management.- * Shall conduct a daily steam boilers water chemical test, and supervise others on this procedure.- * Develops and manages to standard crewing levels for each position within the department.- * Assist in documenting all As Built drawings for all trades for future repairs/ modifications, including but not limited to architectural, civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, fire systems & plumbing. Maintain engineering manuals, filing system and indexing, operating manuals for all related/ non related manufacturing equipment.- * Participates in capital and operating expense budgeting processes, and manages to these budgeted levels.- * R-22 systems and EPA compliance - * Daily payroll reconciliation and adherence to company employee policies- * Build strong relationships with internal and external customers with various continuous improvement projects - - Qualifications * A minimum of five years of experience in management or supervision of maintenance function in a manufacturing environment.- * Must be knowledgeable and experienced with Ammonia Refrigeration systems and PSM.- * Bilingual -in English/Spanish preferred- * Electromechanical experience in the field of food industry. - * Knowledge of metallic and non-metallic materials. - * Familiar with food safety, food process equipment and regulations. - * Familiar with emergency preparedness and emergency response plans and procedures. - * Must be familiar with regulatory and safety codes including USDA, FDA, and OSHA regulations.- * Strong and effective management and supervisory skills are required, including planning, organizing, communicating, influencing, gathering and using information, and motivating a team to achieve results. Ability to use, and to teach others how to use various shop tools.- * Must be familiar with various welding techniques and procedures.- * Must be computer literate and experienced with predictive/preventive maintenance software.- * Ability to respond to emergencies and work under pressure. - * Sense of urgency and excellent responsiveness regarding machinery down time is critical.- * Ability to work independently. - * Ability and willing to work flexible hours and changing priorities.- dlvr.it/7qZGy9
