Maintenance Reliability/Packaging Engineer: Category : Manufacturing Location/City : WI - Fort Atkinson Id : 3022412 Job Type : Direct Hire Jrosario@gesnetwork 610-668-5017 Scope of Position: The Maintenance Reliability/Packaging Engineer will have primary capital project implementation responsibility at the WI facility and supporting other locations as assigned. Projects may range in scope and complexity from minor facility maintenance projects to major capital initiatives. In addition to on-time, on-budget delivery, projects must be implemented to ensure optimum plant performance, maintaining quality food products, worker and environmental safety, and the lowest feasible conversion cost. This individual will also provide technical leadership to ensure continuous improvement of equipment and process capability and capacity. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Partner with our maintenance planners to assess and manage asset reliability assisting in repair vs replace decisions Assess maintenance repairs made to ensure one time? true fixes are made instead of repeated band aid repairs. Work closely with the engineering manager, department heads and plant manager to ensure capital equipment being purchased will fulfill immediate production needs and have potential for future products. Assist in writing capital projects and tracking capital spending for the facility. The person will also be an integral part of decision making on capital purchases. Responsible for capital project initiation and implementation, using Pinnacle?s Project Management Toolkit. Develop and maintain plant drawings, P&ID?s, etc. Provides technical expertise for facility and process/package engineering, with a mindset for continuous improvement. Acts as a technical resource to plant leadership team(s) on technical issues such as reliability studies and engineering. Provides regular project updates to key plant and corporate stakeholders. Seeks and introduces applicable new technology to drive process improvements. Other related duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities: None Skills /Proficiencies: Must be a high energy, self-starter. Excellent project management skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills, including developing and presenting investment business cases to senior leadership. Strong problem solving and plant-floor troubleshooting skills. Proficiency with AutoCAD. Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities. Ability to lead and coordinate multiple resources (i.e. employees, contractors, consultants, etc.) Ability to thrive in a matrix organization, supporting the needs of multiple facilities and corporate priorities. Experience: Must have 5-10 years of experience in manufacturing or engineering related field with extensive project management experience. Must have at least 3 years of experience in Maintenance, Reliability and/or Process, Packaging, or Facilities Engineering within the food, beverage, or pharmaceutical industry. Must have practical understanding of continuous improvement applications in engineering design. Strong experience in process system design and sanitary design. Proven cost reduction abilities.
