Maizie arrived here on Oct 13, 2014 a total mess. Mange so bad she had virtually no hair, and covered in thick crusty skin, heartworm positive, terribly emaciated, and later we found out she may have been exposed to Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, resulting in swollen, painful joint and muscles. Luckily we caught the early symptoms so she never experienced vomiting, loss of appetite, neurological disorders, vomiting or diarrhea. She is improving daily. As you can see in this video, she never had any problems with her appetite, It is as ravenous today as it was the day she came here. Once she is done with the doxicycline, we will start her on heartgard plus to combat the heartworms. She is a sweet girl that deserves a chance at a happy, love filled life with a family that will treat her as one of their own. If you would like to contribute to her vet care, please make a donation to [email protected]. If you would like to adopt Maizie, please send a request for application to [email protected]. Lets get Maizie healthy and in a forever home. Thank you!
