Majithia is applicable to all newspaper staff including contract employees -------------------------------------- [B]Protest[/B] against management is absolutely brilliant but is it only half step towards attainment of what is rightfully ours. Amar ujala, Indian Express, Dainik jagran and Dainik Bhaskar employees should be lauded for its stupendous efforts and united front towards majithia implementation and against whims and fancies of its own arrogant and highly paid top mgt....! This is indeed big tight slap to top mgt, kuddos for it but word of caution to all of you, that battle is not won till salary is credited in our bank a/cs. Also, we all have to be extrmely vigilant so that management takes no bad step towards our brothers and sisters like transfers, forcefully signing of any document, pink slips, etc...! [B]Also[/B] would like to draw your attention towards other companiess policies TOI, Hindu, ABP, Tribune, had given majithia ONLY to wage board staff and payroll, contract employees are left with appraisals that company gives every year which is totally uncalled for and its highly unfair as majithia was and is very much applicable to all the newspaper staff....! [B]HT [/B]had also taken the step towards wage board staff only but to everybody surprise splly to us which we all, Hindi publications, look upto TOI and HT as they are mkt leaders and will lead by setting excellent examples, had not given majithia to even wage board staff, which came as big shock to media industry, and is contempt of court. Only Almighty knows what other staff like payroll and contract employees fate would be....! [B]Let [/B]there be good faith in minds of top mgt and owners of company and they should implement majithia happily to all employees as majority are extremely lowly paid splly in branches.
