Make Life Easier: Changing the temperature of the water that you drink can help you burn an additional 70 calories per day (about 9 calories per 8-ounce glass of water). The trick is to drink cold water (but don’t overdo it – stick to the recommended amount of water as there is such a thing as water intoxication). Essentially, your body burns calories to heat cold water up to your body temperature. While this is not a substitute for exercise and a healthy diet, every little bit adds up in our opinion. Ice, anyone?
