Make a list of all the things that you desire the most. Dont reason as to what you ought to want. Jot down everything that comes to your mind. Now examine your list carefully and ask yourself what rewards are you looking for through the fulfillment of each desire? For example, if you have written, I desire a better job, what you really may desire is a bigger paycheck, a feeling of security, more time at hand, better use of your talents, or just the pleasure of working in a friendly environment. Similarly, you may desire a bigger house, an expensive automobile or a new wardrobe to feel prosperous or wealthy. Think of the rewards in terms of feelings and write them down next to each desire. For example, “I desire a better job because I desire to feel secure, rich, happy or abundant.” Once you have identified all the feelings behind your stated desires, choose the ones that are repeated most often and string them together to create your ‘personal demand statement’. For example, my desired feelings are peace, joy, fun, and freedom; so my demand statement would be, “I demand peace, joy, fun, and freedom right now.” This demand statement is your command to the universe. Speak it aloud with conviction, as often as you can. Feel the power of your voice and speak as though you are commanding a universal army of helpers to bring you whatever you desire. Repeat your command just before going to sleep at night and immediately upon waking in the morning, when your brain is in a receptive state. Also gaze directly into the reflection of your eyes in a mirror and repeat your command with firm confidence. As you live through your daily life, pay close attention to your thoughts and your words. Be alert for any negative thoughts or words that may send conflicting commands to your mind and confuse your invisible helpers. Whenever you catch yourself thinking a negative thought, take a deep breath, say, ‘Cancel. Cancel. Cancel’ three times and repeat your positive command with a steadfast resolve. If there are other people in your presence, do this in your mind or under your breath. Focus only on the end result of feelings that you desire; don’t worry about how those feelings will come about. The universe knows its job better than we do. It will fulfill your heart’s desires in ways you can’t even dream about. This exercise will gradually replace your ‘wanting’ mind with a ‘value-driven abundant’ mind.
